The Aprilaire Automated HVAC System from Jackson Systems was developed to control any type of forced-air heating and air conditioning equipment, while being easy to install and operate. This system represents true integrated energy management of residential and light commercial facilities. The system consists of communicating thermostats, a stand-alone controller and Windows®-based software to control the HVAC system. Whether the Aprilaire communicating thermostats are being installed in a custom home to complete the home automation package, or in a commercial building to save energy, this is the simplest and most contractor-friendly automation package available. There is only one (1) thermostat for all equipment types, including multi-stage and heat pumps. The large back lighted displays allow for easy set-up and messaging from the automation system. The thermostats accept several different types of remote sensors for additional control and monitoring. The controller allows for independent control of the HVAC system, without the need for a dedicated computer. The controller has both a network interface card and a port for an external modem which allows remote access of the system, giving the customer maximum flexibility.
